Operating as a drop-in community centre in the heart of Cardiff, Oasis welcomes up to 150 clients daily. We provide a range of services that assist individuals with meeting their basic needs and support their integration into local communities. Our services include one-to-one casework support on a wide range of issues and hot daily lunchtime meals for those experiencing financial hardship or wishing to meet with and make new friends. We distribute essential items such as toiletries, bikes and bike equipment. Importantly, we run mental health programs in multiple mother tongues, delivered by teachers with lived experience, and daily English language classes to help people adapt to life in the UK. Oasis has a vast network of volunteers who support Oasis’ staff to run the centre efficiently, whilst providing opportunities to share and learn new skills.

There is no similar organisation to Oasis in South Wales. We work each day to meet increasingly complex challenges, harnessing the support of funders, partners, donors and other stakeholders. Oasis’s vision is to widen our reach within Cardiff and beyond, as well as to amplify our community’s voices to ensure all people seeking refuge have access to crucial information, a safe space and a warm, welcoming community.
