Oasis Project is a charity providing a range of drug and alcohol treatment services to women alongside therapeutic services for children affected by substance use in the family. Our portfolio of provision includes services for women working in the sex industry, women who have had children removed from their care and young people new to drug/alcohol treatment. We provide services to address the harm drugs and alcohol can cause in families and the community and ensure children get a good start in life. We have a creche to ensure that childcare is not a barrier to parents seeking the support they need.
Why the community needs us
Substance misuse has a significant impact on the individual, their family and the community. Given the right support people can and do recover. Our trauma-informed services are focused on the needs of women and families and are proven to be especially effective.
Our impact on the community
We work with over 700 women and around 180 children each year . We work with people of all ages, from babies to adults 70 years and over. We know that women we work with have a good chance of recovering from problematic drug or alcohol use. We offer parents who have experienced problems with substances a range of services which meet their needs alongside the needs of their children. Our services for children and young people help to ensure they get a good start in life and are able to thrive.
