Bike sales, repair and servicing: we 'rescue' bikes from the local waste recycling centre and refurbish them to provide cheap transport for local people. We have a number of voluntary work placements to support the socially disadvantaged into employment. We provide bike maintenance training, to empower local with with improved skills and confidence.

Our activities bring together local people of differing backgrounds through the shared love of the bicycle. We build connections between people in our area and grow the confidence and skills of those who feel they have nothing to offer. We encourage cycling in all its forms: leisure, sport, transport etc to improve the health of our community.

We have supported hundreds of local people over the last four years: improving skills and reducing isolation. In the last 18 months, ten of our beneficiaries have gained a nationally recognized qualification in bike maintenance, and all except one are now in work, five of them as bike mechanics. Many of our beneficiaries grow so quickly in confidence and self esteem that they rapidly move on to paid work - despite having been long term unemployed prior to the placement.
