We are a independent charity organisation. Our aim is to help improve the quality of life for individuals, especially children and families who are affected by a life limiting blood disorder Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia.
We work to support and challenge social exclusion for those facing difficulties arising due to their fluctuation of condition, cost of living and raising public awareness through education and training.
Why the community needs us
Birmingham has the 2nd highest prevalence of individuals affected by this genetic blood disorder. We are the only charity working to support families most in need and living with this life limiting condition.
Our impact on the community
Our reach enables us to help children and young people thrive and reach their potential while living with long term condition. We make a big difference tin reducing isolation and improve well-being for carers and patients.
