We offer a wide range of sporting activities to include: Football Tennis, Group Sessions, Mini Tennis, One-to-One Coaching Cricket, Junior Cricket, Kwik Cricket After-School Activities - 6-13 years Twilight Sessions for 14 Years Plus School Holiday Activities 6-13 years Volunteering Opportunities Training Opportunities - Sports Leader Awards Primary & Secondary School Provision - Coaching into Schools

Why they need our service

Friends of Pelican Park have taken over the running of Pelican Park from the Local Authority for 25 years. We offer facilities to play football, tennis, cricket and other multi-sport activities for the local community, we also offer after-school provision and school holiday activities for young people of all ages. Working in partnership with the Sport Governing Bodies and the Local Community we want to improve the facilities at the Park.

Plan and expected results

Pelican Park needs to make many improvements to the site. These include maintenance work to the football and cricket pitches, Improve the tennis provision, create a area for dog walkers, provide a sports pavilion with toilets and changing facilities, community area, office, meeting room and refreshment area. We want to provide a community facility for everyone to use and benefit from. This will help increase the number of people taking part in sporting and training opportunities in the area.
