Working in partnership with a wide range of partners and stakeholders we aim to protect and conserve the archaeology, promote understanding and access, and realise the potential of the historic site to contribute to the social and economic benefit of our local community through local skills development, sustainable tourism development and sense of place.
Why the community needs us
We aim to develop local skills in heritage building, heritage gardening and heritage guiding, and to increase our communities sense of place and pride in their significant heritage.
Our impact on the community
We are currently delivering a pilot project, restoring the walls surrounding the burgage plot behind the Tabernacle URC Church, working in partnership with the Church and Pembroke 21C Community Association to create a heritage garden within the walls. We are establishing a training programme in heritage stone masonry in partnership with Pembrokeshire College, the Tywi Centre and the Consruction Wales Innovation Centre. The project should be open by the autumn of 2018.
