Not for profit organisation offers health, wellbeing programmes and weightlifting for diverse groups to boost social and mental health.
A not-for-profit organisation offering Health and Wellbeing programmes to people of all ages and all abilities, from local communities. Activities are a catalyst for social-interaction, improving self-esteem and confidence. Programmes offer Social-prescribing, Befriending, Bringing isolated-people together, Improving self-esteem, confidence, emotional-health. We deliver free activities to Unpaid-Carers, Dementia-Sufferers, Home-Educated Families; Children with Physical Disabilities and many more groups. We support Pembrokeshire’s Sports People in the Strength and Conditioning, competitive Olympic Weightlifitng, Disability Powerlifting and Special Olympic Powerlifting Volunteers support our work. All our work is based around the below organisational objectives :- To encourage people of all ages, from a variety of backgrounds to participate in strength, health and fitness activities. To address social isolation by encouraging disadvantaged and marginalised groups to access health and fitness activities. To tackle obesity, developing members’ social skills and improving mental well-being. To have a positive effect on wellbeing and prevention of illness. To support people to live healthy, happy lives and ensuring they stay well in the community. To promote participation in Weightlifting, Disability-Powerlifting, Special-Olympic powerlifting.
