Young Minds, Big Ideas, Limitless Possibilities.
The Sylvia Beaufoy Youth Centre provides a safe space for young people in Petworth and the surrounding area, to meet and participate in a variety of activities. The clubs on offer are for young people aged 9 to 19. Young people at the centre can access various sport and recreation activities but crucially they can access help and support from qualified youth workers.
Why the community needs us
Thanks to the Sylvia Beaufoy Centre (formerly the Petworth Youth Association), there has been a dedicated youth facility in the town for over 50 years. The young people benefit from the mix of education and recreation and are supported through with life skills. Due to the rural nature of this area, many young people have nowhere else to go and the Centre is a lifeline for them
Our impact on the community
We work to improve self esteem, inspire positive life choices and engage young people in education employment or training.
