Aims: To provide barrier free studio facilities, education and practical support for disabled and able bodied people from 10 years with no upper limit in age. To make pictures using the art of photography, and also to provide media for showing such pictures. The aims give photographers the chance to participate in workshops, photo shoots, outings and media to improve and support their photography in a barrier free environment
Why the community needs usMembers of PWD benefit from being around like minded people with an interest in all things photographic. Members share how they are able to overcome the difficulties facing them so they can continue with photography. It also benefits some members by giving them somewhere different to go and make new friends that may suffer the same difficulties as themselves.
Our impact on the communitySince 2009 we have managed to create a fully equipped accessible studio for group use or even private use if someone would like to use it. We have a very informative website along with a very active Facebook page. We are holding exhibitions in libraries and community centres through out the area.
