We are a voluntary organisation committed to the development of play and life opportunities for the children and young people of Powys. Our Mission is to act as a hub for the community and to be a widely-known and loved epicentre of fun and learning; we to cater for children from all backgrounds, of all ages and for a broad range of interests. Play Radnor/Chwarae Maesyfed also connects with parents/carers, providing support, guidance and chances for them to come together and embrace the experience of childhood

Why the community needs us
We are dedicated to the welfare of local children; culturally, socially, emotionally and physically, through the provision of quality opportunities. We believe in fun and adventure as tools of personal and community growth. Our activities promote inclusion and inspire ambition and aspiration by targeting local issues of deprivation, need and rural isolation. We work to combat social anxiety, difficulties in forming relationships, unhealthy lifestyles and disengaged individuals.

Our impact on the community
Since 1992 we have helped many thousands of children and families across Mid Powys to access fun and essential life opportunities and experiences. As well as our universal approach to quality opportunities our work provides a vital life-line to disadvantaged individuals; we aim to combat challenges for some communities made more difficult because of poverty, enduring deprivation, rural isolation, poor housing, higher crime rates and generational unemployment.
