Helping children to maintain contact with key family members after family break up
To ensure that where possible every child receives the love and support of both parents and other extended family members after divorce or an irretrievable family break up. Helping children to spend quality time with their loved ones at a difficult time. Providing support and a safe place for children to play until such time that child access issues can be resolved.
Why the community needs usBenefiting local children and their family members by providing a safe, fun and neutral meeting place where regular contact can take place. Supported by volunteers of the local community of Pontypridd. Promoting safe contact and helping to ensure that children are not denied the love and support of key family members after divorce or separation.
Our impact on the communitySo far this year Pontypridd Children's Contact Centre has supported over 40 local children, and many more parents and grandparents to spend time together on a regular basis. These children will go on to having regular contact with family members away from the centre. "I look forward to seeing daddy at the contact centre and I miss him all week". "Thanks to Pontypridd Children's Contact Centre I am able to stay in touch with my son. I can't thank staff and volunteers enough for their support".
