Our aim and objective is to provide an Angling Association with first class facilities, which is accessible, open to everyone, fully community based, which has coaching programs for local children, schools, the disabled and community groups who live within the Bury and surrounding districts.RAMSBOTTOM ANGLING ASSOCIATION will endeavour to make available time, resources and equipment to engage the local community in the sport of angling,by offering coaching and taster sessions.
Why the community needs us
We intend to provide taster sessions, junior tuition on Thursday evenings throughout the summer, social evenings, home and away events, club and inter club competitions for both adults and juniors with a strong emphasis on enjoyment, team participation and personal development.
Our impact on the community
We will make use of angling to reach children with inhibited social skills, engaging them in outdoor activities, developing their interpersonal skills and communication by empowering them to take decisions that affect others. Through extended access and participation we will allow the children, a chance to develop skills through angling, setting up, developing and running coaching programs that supply equipment, coaches and the proper safe environment,thus gaining confidence and social skills
