Raunds Community Music Festival is a registered 'Provident (Co-operative) Society For The Benefit Of The Community' which exists to create opportunities for music and arts in and around the town of Raunds, involving all parts of the community, celebrating music and the arts, raising the profile of the town, demonstrating its creative potential and reaching those in the community who might not otherwise have access to such opportunities.

Why the community needs us

Raunds Community Music Festival provides much needed opportunities for residents of Raunds and local villages to be able to see, hear and join in with international artists, that otherwise they would have to travel out of the area to access. We run workshops and projects involving all age groups and are keen to work alongside other local organisations. Over the years we have worked with local schools, Sure Start, dance clubs, youth groups and adult groups from all sectors of the local community.

Our impact on the community

Through Raunds Community Music Festival, around 500 local people of all ages access our events every year. This, along with the loan of instruments where necessary, has enabled local musicians and dancers to develop their skills and have a prominent public showcase. Festival attendees have seen, heard and danced to internationally acclaimed artists. School and youth groups have benefited from projects promoting the educational aims of the festival linking music, dance and cultural heritage.
