Red2Green provides a learning, work and social experience for clients who have disabilities, are disadvantaged or vulnerable, encouraging them to maximise their potential and be welcomed into their communities and the wider world. We provide innovative, personalised and achievable opportunities in a safe environment. We strive to break down barriers and remove ignorance and fear, so that our clients can achieve their ambitions and enjoy their lives.

Why the community needs us

Our 'Aspirations' service provides social skills and independent living programmes for adults with Austistic Spectrum Disorders. Our 'Health for Life' service supports people with mental health problems to participate in community activities. Our 'Options' service provides social and educational opportunities for people with profound learning disabilities. 'Red2Greenhouse' is our horticultural project working with adults with disabilities and children at risk of exclusion from school.

Our impact on the community

Our Options service won the Cambridge Evening News Community Award in 2011. Because of our commitment to integrating our clients with the community, one of our clients has been supported to volunteer with another local charity. 12 young people who were at risk of exclusionf from school passed their Horticulture BTEC qualifications and all have remained in school. Seven former Health for Life clients felt that their mental health had improved so much that they have become Red2Green volunteers.
