To provide facilities the local and wider community want at a price they can afford. This is achieved through grants, charitable donations, fund raising, business and event usage. Our facilities include a large hall for conferences, sports and leisure, as well as weddings and social occasions, a smaller hall for informal activities, particularly for children; two rooms for training and meetings, and a nursery and out of school club.
Why the community needs us
At present we wish to adapt one of our changing rooms for the use of older children and adults with disabilities. The main items required are a height adjustable changing table,washbasin and ceiling hoist from Changing Places, which alone will cost £12,500. We also wish to install two pairs of automatic swing doors with a remote push button at our main entrance. This will benefit those with disabilities and users with pushchairs. All together, the new facilities which will cost some £35,000.
