Restore Northampton's primary aim is to address poverty through community projects in the town. The charity seeks to support vulnerable people within the Borough of Northampton, offering people a hand-up rather than just a hand out, through equipping individuals and families with skills for independent living. Those working and volunteering for Re:store hope to see people's lives restored through working alongside people, building self-esteem and encouraging them to make positive steps forward.
Why the community needs us Restore is passionately committed to serving the vulnerable in our communities who have no other support network, and we are so pleased to be able to continue to do this during this time of crisis. We are a small charity, run mostly by volunteers, and have had to make tough decisions to protect our team and the public, and follow national guidance. This means that our services will not run in the usual way, we will limit contact and just provide for people in absolute crisis.
Our impact on the community Moving people on from a situation of financial crisis into independence and increasing self-esteem. Last year we distributed over 4,000 food parcels to vulnerable families and individuals across Northampton.
