We are an OFCOM registered community radio station providing regular entertainment programming, local news and events information aimed at 35+ demographic. We work with many local community groups to help with publicity and support at events. We are a CIC not for profit organisation with around 30 volunteers whose duties include presenting, admin, tech, and social media management.
Why the community needs usWe are here to be the voice of community groups, organisations and businesses in the community. We play great music with lots of variety, from the usual 70's 80's 90's to specialist shows like The Vintage Show, Soultime, Something For The Weekend, Classical, and theatre and shows. Radio is a comfort to many in the modern age, and local is what we are about, local events, news, and stories that are of interest and benefit to all the people living in the stunning Ribble Valley.
Our impact on the communityHelping individuals, groups, organisations and charities as well as businesses to get their messages out there, be it for fundraising, information or guidance. We helped with awareness of social issues including helping to save Slaidburn Health Centre, getting their story out to thousands of listeners to change policy. We have trained volunteers and worked with schools and colleges providing vital work-experience and skills. We are just one organisation trying our best to make a difference.
