Richmond Good Neighbours

We do what a good neighbour would do for elderly, isolated and lonely residents in Richmond.

Over 100 volunteers provide services entirely free of charge. These services might include shopping on behalf of a client or indeed taking the client shopping, driving to and from medical or dental appointments, transportation to and from social clubs or to meet with friends and occasionally gardening. Increasingly we have been asked to help set up on line shopping or to help with IT issues. We also offer a visiting and befriending service. We are happy to provide these services on a regular basis e.g. weekly or on a more ad hoc basis.

Why the community needs us
We reduce isolation for some of the elderly residents in Richmond by providing outings or companionship if housebound.
