We are the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield District Branch, a self-funded branch of the National RSPCA responsible for raising money locally to support our animal welfare work. Our main aim is to rehabilitate unwanted, abandoned and abused animals and find them loving, permanent homes. We rely on public donations and the generosity of our local community to keep the doors of our animal centre open.
Why the community needs usWe offer welfare assistance and advice to our local community and we are very lucky to have a dog training and behaviour advisor who holds regularly dog training classes for adopters and members of the public. We often work with local companies and groups inviting them to visit our centre to learn more about the work we do and the animals we look after. We also give educational talks to local Schools, Scouts and Brownies groups on the importance of respecting animals and how to look after them
Our impact on the communityWe find loving homes for over 800 animals every year thanks to the fantastic work of our animal centre staff and volunteers.
