The SARS 999 appeal is a new scheme for donors who want to give £9.99 (or more!) a month to help support SARS. Every new donor who participates in the scheme will receive a quarterly newsletter and a supporters pack. Funds raised by this donation scheme will help cover the costs of equipment and training for new and existing SARS critical care volunteers.

Why they need our service

SARS responders have specialist skills and equipment which enable them to undertake advanced procedures at the scene of an incident which are normally only undertaken in a hospital environment. The interventions of SARS specialists have helped treat thousands of critically ill patients over the last 43 years. SARS receives no government funding and relies on voluntary grants and donations to support its work.

Plan and expected results

£9.99 or more a month can help us buy life-saving kit for our solo and team responders. If 84 people sign up for this scheme we would be able to cover the set up costs of one new SARS responder each year. Individual SARS responders can treat up to 50 patients over the course of twelve months. Regular donors help back up these responders outstanding voluntary commitment and provide us with a predictable funding stream to cover the costs of maintaining their life-saving activity.
