SAVI Northwest (Sports and Activities for the Visually Impaired) is a club organisation based in Merseyside. SAVI was established in January 2009 by visually impaired people for visually impaired people. 

We aim to:​​

  • Develop, deliver and promote inclusive sports and activities bespoke to the needs of blind and partially sighted people.

  • Increase participation of blind and partially sighted people in sports and activities. 

  • ​Improve health and wellbeing of blind and partially sighted people.​

  • Harness lived experience to champion role modelling and peer support 

  • Create pathways to enable individuals to achieve their full potential.

  • Offer wider social benefits in a range of environments.

SAVI's sports, clubs , and activities include:

  • Tandem Club rides

  • Merseyside Blind Football Club

  • Visually Impaired Cricket Team

  • Mersey Sharks Goalball team

  • Blind Trojans Baseball team

  • Multisport sessions
