SCCYC provides essential services to enrich and support children, young people, elders and the vulnerable in particular, by providing support service,training programmes, volunteering opportunities, structured, affordable and accessible services in a supervised environment. We support people with their needs and issues with confidentiality; extra curricular activities help improve employment and education chances; social and cultural gatherings provide a platform to make their voices heard.Our impact on the community
- Over 1000 people from diverse communities and age groups benefit from the Centre's projects. Recognised outcomes include improved education, training, volunteering and employments chances for young people and adult learners; achieving pride and community cohesion through sharing heritage and skills; improved confidence and skills for vulnerable people; respect from diverse communities for volunteering to provide disadvantaged people with free services such as food, clothing and support.
