Scot Bowls Club provides facilities to play lawn bowls on a social and competitive basis throughout the season in the Bletchley and District League, the Bucks Plate, the Burnham Plate, the Bucks Bowls League and other competitions as well as internal club competitions. At weekends we play "friendlies" against other local clubs which are mainly social but nonetheless still competitive. We welcome all ages and abilities and offer coaching by qualified instructors.
Why the community needs usSocial interaction, meeting new people and sharing an afternoon of sport and conversation. We hold regular social events, a pre and end of season social event, a "finals" day and a day at the seaside (playing Great Yarmouth this year).
Our impact on the communityThe club is run by a management committee on a voluntary basis, led by its members. The sport provides outdoor exercise on a regular basis and is positively beneficial for a healthy life, both physically and mentally. It is not dependant on strength or agility but needs a good eye and plenty of perseverance - a game suitable for all abilities.
