Everyone can make a contribution to saving lives from suicide : raising awareness,being trained in suicide first- aid or helping those who have survived a suicide attempt or helping a family who is suffering the loss of a loved one to suicide.We alim to bring those contributions together coherently.
Why the community needs us
Suicide Down to Zero believes that a radical new approach is needed now.We believe that the ambition for suicide prevention should be zero.We aim to campaign to change Government policy,to collaborate with other like - minded groups and to encourage the trial of new and innovative approaches and those which have proved successful elsewhere
Our impact on the community
At present the scope of our work is around the Downpatrick area but we plan to spread our work throughout the Newry Mourne & Down Council area and plan to reach across Northern Ireland and into the Republic of Ireland
