Seren counselling addresses the hugely damaging mental and emotional impact arising from the trauma of experiencing childhood sexual abuse. Seren counselling focuses on ways to cope and recover from the effects of being sexually abused as a child. Clients will be helped to develop healthy coping mechanisms in order that they can move forward towards healthier, more fulfilling lives with improved life choices and chances. All clients come with mental health issues and some are suicidal.

The many positive comments on our service evaluation forms show a range of outcomes from a small but important step in recovery to a life changing experience. One client commented "Seren counselling was a lifeline for me. For the first time in 50 years I don't wish I was dead". Seren has experienced a year on year increase in the number of referrals to its service many of which are from GP's, Adult Mental Health Services, Drug and Alcohol and numerous other support services.
