SHAMBLERS F.C. WAS SET UP IN 1968 TO PROVIDE FOOTBALL GAMES FOR MEN AND BOYS. OVER THE YEARS THEY HAVE HAD VARYING SUCCESS WINNING CUPS AND PROMOTION, THE VETERANS HAVE TWICE WON THE PRESTIGIOUS UMBRO CUP AT THE NATIONAL FINALS. THE BOYS HAVE INCREASED FROM 1 TO 7 TEAMS. BOTH ADULT AND BOYS TEAMS ARE ALL GREATLY IMPROVING THEIR SKILLS.THE UNDER 12'S GIRLS TEAM WON THE SENTINEL SHIELD LAST SEASON WHICH WAS THEIR FIRST YEAR OF PLAYING

We aim to improve the physical fitness, health and wellbeing of club members and to encourage girls and women to participate in sport. The social side off the club encourages friendships to form and offers the opportunity for volunteering. Rugby and cricket teams use the ground and we have a waiting list of footballs clubs who would like to make the NSSC their home ground. We hope to obtain sufficient funding for drainage to the pitches which will eventually allow this to happen.
