Training, education, personal development and employment support for all disabled people
We're a vibrant, friendly and dynamic organisation that believes in equal access for all. Our training programmes and social enterprise projects support people in living more independently, moving into employment, and making life choices. Our accredited courses include catering and food hygiene, digital skills, English and maths, horticulture, and life skills. We also offer activities such as art and crafts, creative writing and music, as well as dance and yoga.
Why the community needs usWe help people to live happier lives. As well as learning new skills at Share, people make friends and develop new interests. They become more confident. Many of our students, through our support, become volunteers, supporting other charities and playing their part in the community. We help people to get ready to take on jobs, which gives them financial independence. Our landscaping and gardening work makes the world more beautiful.
Our impact on the communityWe're a Bronze standard Investor in People and we meet the Matrix standards for training and employment advice and guidance. We have two social enterprises that give our students real work opportunities in a safe and supported environment. Share Gardening provides gardening and landscaping services, while Share Catering provides catering services for events.
We're always interested in hearing from people who want to work with us. People who can support our students to go out and about and enjoy events in the community are particularly welcome.
