Denmark Farm is a nature reserve and visitor centre. Our unique site provides trails, eco holidays, volunteering and training courses in ecology, conservation and natural crafts. All profits are fed back to our charity, the Shared Earth Trust, which promotes an awareness and connection with nature and environmental education. At Denmark Farm Conservation Centre, we aim to highlight the relationships between people and nature, exploring the value and diversity of life and landscapes.
Why the community needs us
Denmark Farm is an accessible and well used nature reserve, known locally as a place to simply walk and appreciate nature.We make no charge for public access to the trails. Many local volunteers benefit from spending time at Denmark Farm, where they can learn new skills, improve their self-esteem, health and well-being and make new friends.
Our impact on the community
We learn more about and from our site through monitoring and the courses that we run, building on our understanding of how we can continue to manage the land to transform it into an even more valuable site for humans, plants and animals.
