Sheffield Hospitals Charity raises funds to help improve the care and treatment of thousands of local patients being treated for almost every type of condition at the Northern General, Royal Hallamshire, Weston Park, Jessop Wing and Charles Clifford Dental hospitals. Our funds help make life better for them and their families.

If you live in Sheffield or the surrounding areas then the chances are that you or someone close to you will receive treatment at one of our hospitals at least once in your lifetime. A visit to hospital can be a stressful and difficult experience. Sheffield Hospitals Charity funds projects throughout Sheffield Teaching Hospitals that improve facilities, the overall environment and treatment for patients. It also supports families, so they can stay close to a loved one when they are in hospital.

Projects supported include: Complimentary therapies for terminally ill patients; electronic beds and TVs to improve comfort for patients with kidney problems undergoing haemodialysis for up to four hours, three times a week; specialist wheelchairs and pressure relieving cushions; a local artist to provide art and music workshops to help alleviate anxiety and to create artwork to enhance patient areas.
