Shetland's stunning
Museum and Archives sits on Hay's Dock in Lerwick. From here ensures that Shetland's heritage is cared for and made available to all free of charge. The donations we receive and the income we generate from events are vital in helping to fund our work. Like so many others, with the onset of the global Coronavirus pandemic we are facing a huge loss in income this year.
We are incredibly grateful to the Shetland Islands Council and Shetland Charitable Trust who provide us with financial support to help cover some of our costs. We rely on the generous support of our visitors, however, to keep the service running, the buildings and collections cared for, respond to enquiries, and to welcome visitors through our doors.
