Shillingstone Cricket club is a long established village club based in north Dorset, offering opportunities to participate in cricket to everyone within the village and surrounding area. Our main aim is to include and introduce as many people as possible to the game. We run regular training sessions, social events and all our fund raising is designed to support the development of cricket in our community. Local Giving has been a real asset to our club and has meant we have better facilities, better training and has enabled everyone who has signed up to participate easily in our fundraiaing.
Why the community needs us
Shillingstone provides a real chance for everyone to become involved in playing, officiating, supporting and being part of a thriving local club. You can become more active, make new friends, develop your cricket skills and there are lots of opportunities to socialise and take part in t events we hold throughout the year.
Our impact on the community
Our club not only has an adult men and women's, several junior sides and a Sunday social team but is also a key component of life in Shillingstone. We maintain the recreation ground for everyone and strive to be as inclusive as possible. The adults play the Dorset cricket Divisions and friendlies, our youth play local sides regularly and we would love to hear form people who want to get involved in either playing or any of the other numerous roles within the club.
