The Festival brings together and elevates the community of Horsham and surrounding villages through a series of concerts, an art festival and flower festival. Original programming, including commissioning new works, combines a group of international level musicians with audiences who perform together. The Festival has expanded every year from 2000 with the encouragement of the communities, performers and both Horsham and West Sussex County Councils.
Why the community needs usWe inspire and bring together an entire community, create new music and confidence in people. We have created social mobility for example children from under preveledged backgrounds gaining scholarships to institutions including the Yehudi Menuhin School, and the London Conservatoires. Our most ambitious String Academy students have joined the UK's leading orchestras, become members of professorial staff at Conservatoires and work in orchestral management. We will be founding an Arts Academy.
Our impact on the communityStudents have become professors at London Conservatoires, leading musicians, orchestral managers and better citizens. Our older supporters have increased their work commitment in retirement greatly enriching themslves and our younger community through the Festival.
