Shropshire Disability Network (SDN) formed in 2008 to provide a powerful collective voice (that is heard) for those people with a disability, their families & carers throughout the county of Shropshire & beyond.To encourage disabled people to feel empowered to manage their condition & be more in control of their lives.To provide a network for people & to represent their views to government, public, voluntary & community agencies & organisations & to secure improvements for disabled people/carers

Provide a website, regularly updated with information, news, events, blogs written by members etc as well as a newsletter-Your Voice.Hold quarterly meetings enabling us to engage with our members and have keynote speakers on topics of interest. Articles are read onto YouTube enabling those with visual impairment & the non reader to be part of us.We network with other organisations & are a "key" place for people with a disability/carers to go for information. We lead on Safe Place Shropshire

Our membership is growing all the time as we reach new people & we are receiving more enquiries to our admin@ info@ & enquiry@ shropshire-disability.net email addresses.We get blogs on a range of topics from members on a regular basis.People are making more contributions to our newsletter as they want to share with others.By invitation we now lead on Safe Place Shropshire. We have a forum for our members.We are also engaged in the Reaching Communities Inclusively Fit Project for Shropshire.
