A friendly welcome awaits players of all ages and abilities at SPTC.
We are a lively and sociable club, with opportunities for both social and competitive play.
With 3 floodlit, all-weather hard courts, we can offer all year round play to our members and the wider community wishing to enjoy the sport. We are a registered LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) Venue and have qualified coaches, offering both junior and adult coaching programmes.

We are currently fundraising to finish our new clubhouse project - our old second hand hut originally installed in 1964 had reached the end of its day. The New Clubhouse project is a fantastic opportunity for us to improve our facilities and make our club more inclusive to the wider community, in particular to wheelchair tennis players in the area. With better access to all 3 courts, toilet and changing facilities, all will benefit, with junior coaching and events made easier to facilitate and run.
Like many organisations that have been affected by the last year of Covid restrictions, despite much fundraising and planning, delays and Brexit have meant rising material costs and we currently face a shortfall of £2,000 to complete the project.
We have been lucky enough to secure funding from both National and Local funders, including Sport England and many of our members have already generously donated towards the project. To everyone who has supported this project so far, we say a huge thank you.
This is the final push, so that we can complete the project and enable more people to access and enjoy tennis for many years to come.
