To support the children and young people of southwater to be the best they can. By offering after school clubs, youth clubs and one to one support to children and young people. We run holiday activities, opportunities for young people to be young leaders, we run the Duke of Edinburgh Award and much more. We work in the community and the local schools both primary, junior and secondary schools.
Why the community needs usSouthwater is a great community, with a lot to offer children and young people, especially in sports. but we at SYP offer more, a safe space for children and young people to try out new activities, meet old and new friends, a place offer pastoral support, a listening ear, lots of opportunities. Our impact on the community
each week we see around 100 children and young people, who are engaging in positive, and fun activities. ranging from arts and crafts, computers and sports, ages from 8 - 18..We encourage young people to take on leadership roles, and especially proud of our young leaders who serve in the young age groups and in various community events.
