St Margaret Hub is a community space serving the Streatham, South London. It aims to deliver practical needs of the most disadvantaged in the community by providing affordable new accessible spaces for group activities, youth club, dance classes, elderly group and exhibitions, conferences and events. Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming place for the whole community to flourish. It enables people to build community networks, get support and become active in the community. A social activity hub, place like home to catch up, network, make connections and relax.
A fantastic performance by the young people in the community during The Queen's Jubilee event has created a Youth Music programme for age 8-16 many of whom have never played an instrument, under the coaching expertise of YouthSayers, at St Margaret Hub. It will enable community participation in the arts, learning contemporary gospel music, pop and musical theatre songs. It will boost confidence, creativity, community cohesion and provide a safe place outside of school.
