In 2016 the band achieved an incredible double - winning the Yorkshire Area and National Finals contests in the same year! We perform a wide repertoire of concert music to diverse audiences in Stannington and throughout Sheffield as well as the wider county of Yorkshire in cathedrals, band stands, parks, concert halls, pubs and many other venues. We have an enthusiastic training band which is a great opportunity for beginners to enjoy playing in a band and broaden their skills.
Why the community needs usWe entertain our community and share a wide repertoire of music with them at our local concerts. We encourage local children and adult beginners to join our training band giving beginners a chance to play in a band and inspiring the next generation of brass banders. We lead the parade in our local carnival and on remembrance day. We keep alive the tradition of local carol sings in our local pubs.
