We offer a 'safe haven' for all. Through our peace work, open-for-all policy and anti-racist campaigning, we contribute towards community cohesion. Through hosting our local food bank (www.localgiving.com/firvalefoodbank), we help families who struggle to put food on the table. Through supporting family life 'from cradle to grave', we build society. Through raising funds, we support other good causes. Through mentoring and partnership, we help raise the profile of other local community groups.

Why the community needs us

We are a friendly faith community of people from all walks of life. Together with others, we exist to help make Fir Vale a better place for all. We do this by supporting isolated elderly, running children and young peoples' groups, hosting our local food bank and celebrating multicultural Sheffield. We provide refreshment for both body and soul from the beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings of our Church.

Our impact on the community

Every year, we help provide 2,800 food bags. Every month, we visit up to 25 elderly. Every week, we serve over 200 cups of tea. We work in partnership with over 30 other local organisations for the good of all. We run an annual Youth Camp and weekly children's activities. We welcome asylum seekers. Recently, we had a 'sleep-in' for young people to raise funds and awareness for a local homeless charity, ran a mini-Olympics youth football tournament and helped organise Fir Vale Food Festival.
