Did you know that 30% of children in Milton Keynes live in poverty? That's 9 children in a classroom of 30. For many of these families the demands of rent, utilities and unexpected costs leave them with little money left to put food on the table. Our aim is to get food into the tummies of the most vulnerable children in MK whenever they need it. We store meal kit boxes in schools across the city which staff can invite vulnerable families to take home any day they might need it. The boxes contain the ingredients needed to cook an easy, child-friendly, hot and healthy meal and a recipe card so families can cook it over and over - even on a small budget.
