We are committed to delivering high quality, meaningful, creative projects for young people and adults with learning disabilities. Our purpose is to create opportunities for people with learning disabilities to develop their own inspirational and unique ideas . We aim to encourage learning through experimentation, questioning and discovery, building confidence and self-esteem and enable people with learning disabilities to explore social and emotional issues in a positive, creative way.
Why the community needs usWe work in partnership with disabled and non disabled community groups & organisations. We also take part in local collaborative creative projects which promote a positive image of adults with learning disabilities within the wider community. Our projects and events aim to also support families and carers of people with learning disabilities.
Our impact on the communityThe main outcome of our projects is an Exhibition Celebration twice a year, which showcases & celebrates the work our participants have achieved - including a performance by the Superstar Choir. This event is an opportunity for the learning disabled and non-learning disabled community to come together and network. Artwork is exhibited and participants have the opportunity to sell handmade items.
