The Surviving Winter Appeal aims to raise awareness of the combined effects of fuel poverty and social isolation, and how this puts many self-reliant older people at risk, particularly if they turn down their heating to save money, and become trapped indoors due to bad weather and icy road conditions.During the winter of 2014/15 920 vulnerable people died from cold weather related deaths in Dorset.

Why the community needs us

We urgently need you to make a donation to provide warmth and comfort for the vulnerable and elderly in our community.

Our impact on the community

Donations raised through the Appeal will fund groups supporting older people across the county. We will also be working with partnering organisations to support vulnerable older individuals through grants directly.
