Sussex Community Foundation was founded in 2006. We raise funds for and makes grants to small charities and community groups across East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
Why the community needs us
Since 2006, we have raised £44 million for Sussex. We have given out grants totalling £21 million and established an endowment fund that will benefit people and communities in Sussex for many years to come.
Our impact on the community
We are a small team, based in Lewes, and our running costs - staff wages, overheads like electricity, stationary etc - are very low and for every £1 we spend on fundraising, we bring in £40.
