We provide an uplifting and supportive environment for carers. For a couple of hours each week, carers get away from their caring role to sing in a harmony choir with others in similar circumstances. We enable carers to learn a new skill in order to help them relax and have fun together.

As a group, unpaid carers save the country billions of pounds every year in health and social care costs. This is often at a personal cost of social isolation, limited life opportunities and increased physical and mental health problems of their own. The choir is a creative space where carers can go, to recharge their batteries. "It's 2 hours away from it all, having a break from any worries. Having some Me Time at last!" The choir has been going for nearly a year and is growing steadily. There are over 20 of us now - all carers or recovering carers, including Stuart our musical director. We are always looking for new members and continue to build links with groups and agencies who work with carers, to spread the word. The more carers we can get singing, the better! Not only are the songs uplifting, the health and social benefits that go with being part of a friendly, supportive choir are life-changing!
