TCV stands for The Conservation Volunteers and for more than 40 years we have been delivering sessions at our Centres in Leeds. We have Skelton Grange in South Leeds and Hollybush Conservation Centre in Kirkstall.

As TCV we work in the space where people, nature, greenspace and community meet. Nature is the common thread connecting everything we do. It inspires people to get involved: Helping nature, wildlife and the planet are the most common reasons people give for coming to us in the first place.

This common purpose unites an incredibly diverse group of people into a harmonious whole that can be a safe space for everyone and anyone to be able to join in, contribute, make a difference and feel better in the process.

We create inclusive, integrated spaces where everyone has value and a part to play. We don’t wait for people to find us – we run outreach sessions within the community and work with other organisations to ensure individuals who might benefit from volunteering at with TCV get to have that opportunity.

We offer different types of activity to suit different people.  You can do woodwork; food growing; gardening for wildlife; whittling; wildlife walks and practical conservation sessions. We offer nature play and nature-based education sessions for children and regular family events. If you enjoy yourself and want to give more time you can become a Key Volunteer or a Volunteer Officer and we will train you up to help us deliver our practical conservation, nature play, woodwork and other sessions.
