At a time when we are all struggling with the impact of Covid-19, young people especially are struggling to come to terms with the new reality they face. Their plans for their future studies have been derailed, their parents jobs are at risk, families are struggling financially and the people closest to them are at risk of serious illness. We are all effected by these issues but young people are often still developing the skills they need to cope with the challenges life throws at them. The daily uncertainty of issues beyond their control are leaving a generation of young people feeling anxious, lost and alone.
Why the community needs usYour donation will keep our support service and activities running at a time when it is needed most. In response to the Covid-19 outbreak we have adapted our services for 11-25 year olds to provide one-to-one support over the phone, giving access to a support worker for any young person needing help to navigate the difficulties they face, and online activities with live sessions to join in at home, building a youth community that allow young people to feel connect to the world outside.
Our impact on the communityWe aim to give young people confidence in themselves and their ability to overcome their challenges by giving them the chance to offload their worries and concerns, to connect with others so that they feel less alone and to build the skills they need to relieve the pressures of life in lockdown.
