Tees Valley Arts is based in Middlesbrough and works with communities across the Tees Valley, using creative and imaginative approaches to help people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to enjoy themselves, learn new skills, gain confidence, work with others and make positive next steps in life. We do unexpected things with unlikely groups, and achieve remarkable outcomes, helping people turn their lives around.
Why the community needs usWe work with varied community groups, particularly those who are in difficult circumstances, helping them discover or rediscover their own artistic talents (be it drawing, painting, singing, writing, dancing, film-making….), and to feel better about themselves.
Our impact on the communityPeople who have taken part in our projects will learn new practical skills, better ways of being around other people, better ways of passing the time, better ways of expressing themselves, and better ways of determining their futures.
