We’re a small, charity-run community centre in Auchendinny. Our overarching aim is to help to build, encourage and sustain lasting connections within our community and beyond. We’re here for everyone, no matter what you do, how old you are, where you’re from, or who you love, there’s something for you at the Glencorse Centre.
We have recently re-launched our community café as the Community Cup, come along and enjoy a brew, or volunteer and gain work experience, a sense of purpose, and some free coffee!
We are working our socks off to redesign and rebuild the once derelict community garden and turn it into a community green space where everyone is welcome and can take part. Take a peek at our
Community Garden page for more info.
We’re also proud to host the
Penicuik Men’s Shed since February this year. This fantastic local charity shares our core values, and we’re so pleased we could offer them a home so they can keep doing the great work they do.
We're always on the look out for people who are willing to dedicate some of their time to developing their community, be it as garden volunteers, café volunteers, cleaning volunteers, or a board members to help shape the future of our wee community.
We are always on the look out for enthusiastic members of the community who are keen to get involved and help their local charity-run community centre. We have something for everyone, whether you enjoy pottering around in the garden, helping with community events, befriending older people, making visionary business development plans or sharing your experience to help us to create new projects which address local needs. We look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to share their ideas, feedback, experience or specialist knowledge.
