The Rhondda Polar Bears Disabled Swimming Club provides the opportunity for children and adults with any type of disability or chronic condition to come along and gain water confidence with our instructors. Once water confidence is gained, we then help with learning to swim. In turn this will lead to competing in our club, Regional and National galas against other disabled swimming clubs if you so wish. We are affiliated with Halliwick Association of Swimming Therapy and we are a voluntary charity organisation. Our volunteers give up their time week in, week out and we are open 49 weeks of the year (Aside Covid restrictions).
The Rhondda Polar Bears Disabled swimming Club is a very special, friendly club and is renowned within the Rhondda Community having been run for over 45 years and still going strong.
Our motto is focusing on Ability not Disability and the most important thing...Is to have fun!
