The Bulldogs Boxing & Community Development Centre is inspirational, motivating and extraordinary from the moment you enter.

We support positive life choices among community members, improving their health and wellbeing by providing an array of fitness services and education programmes.

The Bulldogs also use the power of non-contact Boxing to involve, educate and inspire young people and their families.

We are a community-focused organisation

The Bulldogs is a Centre of Opportunity for armed forces veterans, young people and their families at a time when many other facilities are closing and public sector services are diminishing.

Designed to create ‘Champions in the Ring and Champions in Life’, our ‘Mix & Match’ programme can be tailored to every individual who requires support.

We are linked with SSAFA, the Armed Forces Covenant & the Armed Forces Foundation to provide armed forces veterans with social activities and practical initiatives such as benefit, pension, housing, employment and mental health support. Veterans improve their health and mental wellbeing via regular contact with our Veterans Mentor and free access to the Bulldogs gym.

For children and young people, we provide a disciplined, motivated, positive pathway into responsible lifestyles. Our courses, after-school clubs and school holiday programs are designed to develop the confidence and self-esteem of young people, while giving them the skills, experience and accredited qualifications they need to succeed.

Bulldogs makes a difference

The Bulldogs brings people together. Please show your support to help us make an outstanding and lasting difference to local people’s lives.

“I've never felt such a strong feeling of community in such a short space of time. I've found confidence in my ability to connect with people and put a smile on their face. I will always be grateful to the staff and visitors at The Bulldogs for this. “

“I liken [The Bulldogs] to peeling an onion. There are so many layers/ activities open to everyone… well run courses to attain qualifications, wellbeing, mental health awareness, encouraging ex-military people to congregate every week to chat [and] exchange stories but also the venue can help them to understand the benefit system by form filling, getting GP appointments etc. This establishment goes above and beyond the remit of a Boxing Club.”
