We are a well established charity operating since 2002. We provide one to one therapy for anyone over 17yrs . We offer low cost counselling for up to a year to help with a range of difficulties, including: depression, bereavement, anger, stress, abuse, anxiety, loss, phobias, relationships,  self-esteem, trauma and work or carer related issues. Currently, we are offering counselling by phone or online platforms such as Zoom, Skype, Facetime, WhatsApp etc. Our service is provided by 18 voluntary counsellors, 2 volunteer administrators and 2 part time members of staff.
We are very proud to have achieved reaccreditation with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), one of very few organisations to reach this standard in Surrey.  in April 2019 the BACP Assessor wrote "The Assessor thanks The Counselling Partnership for its full and detailed resubmission. This is clearly a professional and responsive service and we are delighted to renew the accreditation award “

Why the community needs us
Mental well being is important to all. We anicipate a significant increase in those seeking counselling as more of us will have mental health issues as a result of COVID and many people in the community will be struggling to re-adjust to life and work in a post pandemic environment.

People on low income often cannot afford private counselling services. We help to meet their needs in a timely and professional manner. Our counsellors are all volunteers and receive supervision and training throughout their time with us. We are independently funded and receive

Our impact on the community
Last year we were able to offer over 1500 counselling sessions. Many of our clients benefit from talking to someone who is not judgemental and maintains confidentiality. For clients it is their opportunity to open up and express anxieties they have not been able to talk about.

How funds can help us the community
Thanks to fundraising we have been able to set up our services remotely, taking on more clients, in the future we hope to fund two new venues, reaching out to the business community to help local organisations support their staff
